The naive way to check a white background is to average the pixels and see whether the result is close to white. That fails constantly in real product photography: a soft drop shadow, a slightly cool sweep or a light grey product all skew the average, so clean images get rejected and dirty ones sneak through.
This tool does it the way it should be done. It starts a stack-based flood fill from the image corners and grows outward while two conditions hold at the same time: the pixel is still close to the corner colour, and it is close to the neighbour it came from. A soft shadow is a slow gradient, so it stays inside the fill and is correctly treated as background. A product edge is a sharp jump, so the fill stops there. Everything the fill did not reach is the product, and its bounding box gives the fill ratio.
Then, and only then, the background pixels are compared with pure white. You get the percentage of background that is not #FFFFFF and the average deviation — so “95% of your backdrop is white but there is a grey shadow under the shoe” is a sentence the tool can actually say. Transparent PNG areas are reported separately, because a transparent background is not a white background, however it looks in your image viewer.

The Trendyol, Hepsiburada, Etsy and eBay values were compiled from seller help pages and seller communities, they are marked with a star in the interface and carry a visible warning, and they can change. Confirm them in your own seller panel before a big upload.
